Monster Cleaning Wimbledon does five things and publishes one price list for all of them. Everything below is quoted before we book, and the figure does not change on the day unless you add work to the job.
| Service | Starts at | How it is priced |
|---|---|---|
| End of tenancy | £156 | Fixed by bedroom count |
| Carpet cleaning | £36 | Per room, per flight, per rug |
| Oven cleaning | £77 | Per appliance |
| Regular housework | £23 | Per cleaner, per hour |
| One off deep clean | £186 | Team and hours, kit included |
End of tenancy, from £156
The move-out clean is priced for the whole property rather than by the hour: £156 for a studio, £207 for a one bedroom, £243 for two, £339 for three and £425 for four. The inside of the kitchen units and the bathroom limescale are part of that. The oven goes on as an add-on, at £31. If the agent picks fault with something we cleaned, we come back and put it right, free.
Carpets and upholstery, from £36 a room
Hot water extraction rather than a bonnet pad, with a softened rinse because Thames Water is hard here. Bedrooms £36, living rooms £43, a through lounge £61, stairs £41 a flight, rugs £35 up to three square metres and £51 above. Sofas, mattresses, dining chairs and curtains go on the same visit, from £13 for a dining chair.
Ovens, from £77
Everything that lifts out is soaked separately, while the cavity, the seals and the door glass (both faces, where the door comes apart) are done by hand at the worktop. A single is £77 and a double £110. A 90cm range or a two-oven AGA comes to £143, hobs are £23 ceramic or £28 gas, and extractors £28.
Regular housework, £23 an hour
Weekly work is £23 per cleaner per hour and fortnightly £24, with a three hour minimum visit and ironing at £12 an hour. The same cleaner comes back to the same house wherever the rota allows. Nothing to sign.
One off deep cleans, from £186
A team job for a house that has been left too long, or for the two weeks in July when the Village lets its houses out and wants them put right afterwards. Two cleaners for three hours is £186, and three cleaners over a six hour day is £498, kit and materials included.
Choosing between the hourly clean and the deep clean
This is the call we spend most time on. Hourly work keeps a house where it already is. A deep clean moves it, once, and costs more per hour because a team with kit is a different thing from one cleaner with a mop. If the house is fine and you want it kept fine, book hourly. If you are looking at nine months of neglect or a builder’s dust sheet, book the deep clean and put the weekly visit on afterwards.
Where we work
Across SW19 and SW20 and out to Southfields in SW18 and New Malden in KT3. There is a full list of the areas we cover and a full price list, and the phone gets answered seven days a week from 8am to 7pm.
Questions we get asked
Do you work evenings and weekends?
Yes. Seven days, 8am to 7pm, all at the weekday rate. Weekend slots go first, so ask early if you want a Saturday.
Do you bring machines and materials?
Yes, on every service, and they are inside the price. On a deep clean the £30 kit charge comes off if you would rather we used your own.
Can I book two services on one visit?
Yes, and it is usually the cheaper way round, because the crew and the machine are already in the house. Carpets alongside a move-out clean is the common pairing.
How do I get a price?
Ring with the number of bedrooms, or the rooms and stairs for carpets, or the make of the cooker for an oven. That is enough for a firm figure on the call rather than an estimate.
